Thermex 2000 Series Shell and Tube Oil Coolers

Thermex Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers provide an ideal cooling solution for transmission and hydraulic oil for a variety of Marine, Hydraulic, Rail, Industrial and Leisure applications. The Thermex floating tube stack addresses vibration and thermal expansion fatigue to prevent the premature failure of the unit in service.

The Thermex Shell and Tube Oil Coolers are made from the following materials:

Shell: Aluminium
Tubes: 90/10 Cupro-Nickel
Headers: Cast Iron (fresh water applications) or Gun Metal (sea water applications)
Seals: Nitrile as standard, for operating temperatures of over 100°C Viton seals are also available

The standard build of a Shell and Tube heat exchanger uses a 3-pass flow system for the coolant, 2-pass and 1-pass systems are also available; please contact a member of the sales team for assistance if these are required.

The Thermex marine water oil coolers are suitable for most sea water conditions, for vessels which operate in heavily polluted water a Super Marine cooler fitted with 70/30 Cupro-Nickel tubes is also available.
